The Impressionist

I think the idea of the Impressionist was interesting. Billy Dent was infamous for his 100+ murders-- he was clearly not someone that should be idolized. However the Impressionist found him to be intriguing and impressive, wanting to be just like him. He was such a big fan of Billy Dent's that he began to follow in his footsteps and commit the exact same murders, finding it unbelievable that Jazz, who knew Billy Dent better than anyone, did not want to be just like him. I think the Impressionist was absolutely crazy but his character was very well developed.

I agree. I felt that having the impressionist and Jazzy, completely opposites really helped make this story very interesting. It shows how these two characters, both effected by Billy Dent, chose two distinctly different paths. Jazzy, seeing some of these murders first hand and being the son of Billy, could have easily followed in his footsteps but didn't like what his father did and decided to be his own person and do what he though was right. While, the impressionist who was a fan of BIlly, and didn't know him, wanted to be just like him. He couldn't see how Jazzy, someone so close to Billy, couldn't be just like him.
