Billy Dent's Advice

Throughout the book we see Jazz constantly reference back to all the advice his Dad gave him while covering up or committing a crime. This intrigued me because it showed the reader all that Jazz has been through and the number of murders or other crimes he's witnessed. These memories are forever engraved into his mind, and he can't help but think about them very time he hears about a new crime or thinks about his father. All these references built up to the moment where Jazz finally sees his Dad in jail and gets to talk to him one more time.

I was also astounded by how much Jazz had been through with his father and throughout the whole book I was anticipating the moment he'd go visit "Dear Old Dad."

I was also impressed with Jazz's experiences. The fact that Jazz has witnessed multiple murders is just crazy, most people will never be a witness to a murder in their lives and he was a witness to many. I too was waiting for Jazz visit his father with much anticipation.

All of the murders that jazz keeps hearing about make him rember about his father and what he did. This is jazz can not stay away from helping the police with murders because what his father use to tell him.
